One of the mom at our book club asked if we could include a section recommending children’s books. With that idea, we’ve tossed around the topic, and discovered everyone’s favorite Junie B. Jones.
For those not familiar with Junie B Jones, she’s a fictional character in a children’s series written by Barbara Park. In the Junie B. Jones series, Junie is the main character, and was initially introduced as a kindergartner. Junie B. Jones series was well received amongst kids and parents, it is best known for many of its true to life yet comical aspects of childhood, such as dealing with siblings, first days of school, as well as a little girl’s innocent crush. Many of the catch terms used by Junie B. Jones, quickly caught on, you’ll hear kids every where use the term like “Wowie wow wow!” or “That is a hoot, I tell you!”. Junie B. Jones series was first released in 1992, since 28 more books have been published. Currently, Junie B. Jones is a first grader.
